2024 Scholarship Awards

On June 4, 2024, at the Crook County High School Scholarship & Awards Night, Crook County Foundation Executive Director Rebekah Lambert presented the Foundation’s scholarship awards for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year. “We are entrusted with the management of scholarships on behalf of many community members, businesses, and organizations. With profound thanks to these wonderful people and to our scholarship committee volunteers, in 2024 the Crook County Foundation awards 57 scholarships to current and former Crook County graduating students, totaling nearly $111,000.”

In 2001, J. Paul Rowen launched the Foundation’s scholarship portfolio, with the establishment of a $65,000 endowment fund through the Oregon Community Foundation. Since then, the portfolio has grown to include 23 funds, supported through annual giving and endowments, and each reflecting the unique intent of its donor. The result is a diverse assortment of scholarships for graduating high school seniors and others continuing their studies at community colleges, vocational schools, and universities, in fields as varied as diesel mechanics, music, medicine, engineering, welding, education, biology, and agricultural business.
